More Cooking In Kindergarten

We keep on cooking in kindergarten!  Baked zucchini was a HUGE hit!  I was shocked that so many kids eagerly tried this tasty (but green) vegetable.  I think the fact that the kids made this themselves, really encouraged them to give it a try. Plus, it smelled really yummy while it was cooking.

A few kids asked for the recipe and I told them I would post it for them.  The kids, of course, wrote their own sequence of events for this tasty treat, but I'll share the recipe here too.  Sometimes it can be tough to read kindergarten writing!

Slice a small zucchini and place the pieces in a Ziploc bag.
Drizzle a little olive oil in the bag and shake.
Add 1/2 cup bread crumbs and 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
Sprinkle a little All Purpose Seasoning and salt in the bag.
I really don't follow a true recipe for this.  It's just a little of this and a little of that.
Bake these at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until slightly brown.
Enjoy!

Today's tasty treat was mud!  The PM kindergarten class was here today and since we were learning about pigs, we made some mud for snack.  Okay, it was actually pudding.  We talked about adjectives for mud and wrote poems using those descriptive words.  You should ask your kindergartner about Mrs. Wishy Washy.  She is not a fan of muddy farm animals!

So many cooking projects, and so little time left!
